Frequently Asked Questions:

WHAT TIME DO MATCHES START?
  • Winter matches are Sundays at 1pm, gates open at 12pm. *except for special sunset matches Winter 2026*
  • Spring & Fall matches are Saturdays at 6pm, gates open at 5pm. *Until sunset forces match times to start earlier in late fall*
  • The full schedule is available at www.ocalapolo.com, match lists are published on social media each week and sent via email blast.
WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE?
  • If you have reserved your space in advance, you will receive an email the morning of the match informing you of which tailgate space is yours. The gate attendant will direct you to your space when you arrive.
  • Once gates have opened spaces that are not reserved are available for sale the day of the event. These remaining spaces are available on a first come, first served basis.
  • General Admission tickets will be available for sale at the gate for $10 per person.
DO YOU PLAY IN BAD WEATHER?
  • The match will go on if the field is deemed safe for all athletes by our officials. If inclement weather prevents us from playing, updates will be posted on our email blasts and social media pages.
  • Tickets are transferable to a later date in the same season.
  • If a match is rained out while the match is underway, tickets will not be refunded.
ARE MATCHES EVER CANCELED?
  • If field conditions become unsafe matches will be canceled for the safety and well-being of players and ponies.
  • The rule in polo is, "It's on, until it's off!" Sometimes cancellations may be at the last minute due to the unpredictability of the Florida weather.
  • Cancellations will be announced on the Ocala Polo Club Facebook and Instagram accounts as well as by email blast. We will give as much notice as possible. Please do not call or email to ask if a match is cancelled.

WE ARE ARRIVING IN SEPARATE CARS HOW WILL MY PARTY GAIN ENTRANCE?
  • You will check in under the reservation name at the gate, printed tickets are not required for this event.

  • Each VIP tailgate space ticket allows up to 8 adult admissions and 2 cars onsite. One car can park immediately behind the tent, the other a short distance away.

  • The ticket booth attendants will direct you to parking and to your spaces.
