We are so excited to bring our community together for the 6th Annual Horses & Heroes Day! In our first 4 years we have raised over fifty thousand dollars to help the Wounded Warrior Project, in order to expand our reach we then chose to rotate veterans' charities, first to Soldier's Freedom Outdoors of Melrose, FL in 2025 and now to The Honor Flight Network for 2026!!
The Honor Flight Network was founded in 2005 to bring WWII veterans to their newly opened memorial. Since its inception, Honor Flight has brought over 317,128 veterans to Washington, D.C. to visit their memorials. Each year, they bring approximately 22,000 veterans on trips to our nation’s capital. Honor Flight is an exceptional non-profit, whose 130 hubs around the country are entirely staffed by volunteers. The Villages Hub not only serves one of the densest population of veterans in the country, but also Marion, Lake, Sumter, Citrus and Hernando counties. Join us Sunday February 22nd, 2026 for the annual Horses & Heroes Polo Match and Raffle to continue the fun tailgating at polo! Polo evolved from military roots, and we continue the tradition to honor our heroes with an organization that honors our veterans.
